1851 (31 Jan), folded lettersheet from London charged with manuscript "2sh5½d" and red "PAID LS 31 JA 31 1851" to San Francisco with two "PAID" markings applied upon arrival, a scarce and short-lived rate

1852, 2d. blue imperforated, two horizontal strips of three tied by barred oval to folded letter from Staffordshire to New Orleans, originally endorsed "Via New York", this was changed to Boston and put on the "Niagara" which arrived in Boston on the 16th., adhesives cut into in places and small corner crease, stamps a bid oxydized, a very scarce cover and one of just three recorded bearing solely 1841 2d. blue frankings to New Orleans.

1855 (11 April), Embossed 1sh. green, touched at right, together with 1850 Victoria 1d. red, paying a late fee, tied by duplex cancel "BRISTOL AP 11 1855" to envelope to Philadelphia, sent via Liverpool with "5 cent" accounting mark, carried on the "Africa" to Boston, then sent to Philadelphia with red "PHILADELPHIA PAID" cds. tying the stamp, attractive entire

1864 (25 Aug.), Victoria 6d. gray-black and 2d. violet tied by illegible grid cancel, reverse shows cds. "SANDHURST 26 AU", to envelope to Maine,  via Southampton and London with transit mark "LONDON OC 20" and red "16 cents" credit handstamp, from Londonderry with the "Hibernian" to Quebec, when the cover was bagged to Portland, with corresponding "PORTLAND M AM PKt 5 NOV 18 1864" alongside, by rail. Adhesives some imperfections, lihgt toned spots, otherwise fine and attractive

1872 (4 July), Victoria 9p. dark-brown together with 1858 Victoria 1d. red tied by numeral "88" and cds. "LONDON JY 4 72" to folded letter endorsed "p City of Montreal" to New York with receiver mark, a fine entire with 1d. late fee

1855 (17. Febr), Napoleon 40c. horizontal strip of six and 10c. brown as single tied by numeral "2845" with adjacent cds. "SAVIGNY-S-ORGE 17 FEVR 55" to cover endorsed "Via Southampton and Pananma by Steamer to San Francisco. With red boxed "PD" and London transit mark and "20" due handstamp, struck in error in San Francisco, carried on RMSP "La Plata" from Southampton to St. Thomas, then by RMSP "Conway" to Colon and carried to California by the PMSC "Golden Gate", both stamps at edge some imperfections, a fine and late use for the 25 decimes per 7,5g. fully-paid rate to California by the Royal Mail Steam Packet
