1d black, plate 9, QD, showing "O = Q" flaw in ONE, large regular margins, tied by neat black MC on lettersheet from London (FE 19 1841) to Northallerton, Yorks., fine

1d. grey-black, plate 3, MI, showing distinctive corner letter "M" for plate 3, extremly large margins, tied by bright red MC, used on entire from "BIDEFORD JY 13" to London with arrival datestamp "15 JY 1840", minor tear in the address panel, but 1d adhesive very fine and fresh.

1d. grey black, plate 6, horizontal pair PA-PB, good to large margins except for PB just touched at bottem right, tied by indistinct black MC's to front to "Lincoln's Inn, London", small scissors cut in margin between stamps not touching the design and horizontal filing crease far away from adhesives, H. Richter cert (1990).

1849, small envelope with original contents, dated "Aden 29th May 1849", endorsed "Per steamer Oriental via Marseille" (last trip), on reverse transit mark of Alexandria and on front Malta disinfection mark, charged "1/8".

"124" on India DLR, 2 copies 2 a. yellow (some marginal faults) on cover with adjacent red "BOMBAY BPP" to Bombay, on reverse cds. "ADEN JU 8 64", still fine

1882, Queen Victoria 4d. yellow, 6d. green and 1sh. lilac (3) tied by numeral barred oval postmark on a registered cover to Germany, endorsed "per Orient Steamer Sydney 7th Dec. via Naples", alongside cds. "BUNDABERG QUEENSLAND 30 NO 83", on reverse arrival cds. "HERRNUT", slight aging on the sides otherwise very fine 

1919, British Occupation Surcharges 2r. (2), 3r. (2) and 5r. (2) tied by cds. "BATUM -5 5. 20" to a registered card to France, violet boxed registration, reverse arrival cds. "BORDEAUX GIRONDE 5 - 6 20", very fine and scarce usage

1956/57, wm 'St. Edward's crown' 1½ a. on 1½ d. In horizontal pair (separated at bottom) with 1952/54, ½ a. on ½ d., used on commercial airmail cover from "BAHRAIN .. FE 57" to Doha, Qatar; the envelope with some marginal transportation faults, the pair in very fine condition (partly lifted for inspection of watermark). One of the greatest rarities of the British agencies in Arabia; only one further copy of this rare stamp has been recorded from Bahrain (also on cover). Certificate David Brandon (1997)

1915, British Occupation, complete set of thirteen, very fresh and clean assembly, neatly tied by cds "DUALA 14 7 15 (KAMERUN) a", 2m. one short perf., otherwise very fine, signed Bothe

1851, Beaver 3p. red and Albert 6p. slate violet, fresh color and each with good margins, tied by straight-line "PAID" resp. "REGISTERED" to front of colorless embossed registered cover with adjacent cds. "LOSKEY UC Febr. 9th 1856" to New York, with red "PAID" and manuscript "15" alongside, two vertical folds not affecting the adhesives, the stamps cleaned and partially repaired, especially 6p. at upper left corner. Despite the faults on outstanding item with only one other cover known to the US paying the 9p. rate.

1859, Beaver 3p. red, vertical pair tied by numeral "12" with adjacent cds. "DUNDAS MY 31 1859" to cover to Massachusetts, upper stamp small tear and short perf, otherwise fine

1858, Albert 10c. dull violet, fresh color and good perforation, tied by illegible cancel to mourning cover (shortened) with adjacent cds. "INNERKIP 11/8/66" to Detroit, some aging, otherwise fine

1924, Georve V. 5£ black on yellow, fresh colour, good perforation, unused, very fine copy of this key stamp, certificate RPSL (1968)
