1865, AFRICA: Franklin 1c. blue horizontal pair and two horizontal pairs Washington 10c. green tied by circle of wedges to folded letter to Neuchatel, Switzerland, red "NEW YORK PAID 36" and british transit marks alongside, few slightly blunt perfs and one stamp 10c. toned perf, otherwise fine

1866, CHINA: Lincoln 15c. black and Franklin 30c. orange tied by grid to envelope with cds. "SALEM NOV 6" alongside to Zanzibar, endorsed "via Marseilles" and "care Adumally Sultanally, Esq., Merchant, Bombay", red "BOSTON BR. PKT. 7 NOV 40" credit handstamp and crayon "1" British colonial credit alongside, reverse with transit "BOMBAY DE 24", a fine and scarce entire. Albert P. Goodhue, the recipient of this cover, was a ship chandler and businessman from Salem, Massachusetts, who likely had a connection to Benjamin Goodhue, a commercial merchant and politician from the same area. Benjamin served in the state senate and later as a representative in the first U.S. congress, and played a significant role in shaping the country's revenue laws. His son, Jonathan, was also a successful commercial merchant.

1867, JAVA: Washington 3c. rose and 24c. grey tied cds. "BALTIMORE AUG 14 1867" resp. blue target cancel to small envelope to Brussels, Belgium with red "BOSTON BR. PKT  16 AUG 7 PAID" alongside, adhesives with minor imperfections, otherwise fine and attractive entire

1868, AUSTRALASIAN: Washington 24c. grey tied by red quartered cork cancel to folded letter endorsed "p. Australasie Private" to Liverpool with "NEW YORK PAID ALL MAR 11" and red boxed "SUPPLEMENTARY MAIL" alongside, fine and attractive supplemantary mail usage

1878/2012, mostly used collection from Mi.-Nos. 1-3 on three album pages, plus PR China in bags etc.

Mouchon tied by cds "TRIPOLI 02" to front of an envelope to Hannover, Italian issues well represented, better items such as 1933 Fair complete set (Mi 177/189), Kingdom of Libya 1951 First Issues study group with 500fr. (Mi 13) and 480fr. (Mi 23) duplicates on and off covers including some usage on parcel cards, later souvenir sheets, postage dues, parcel card stamps, etc., condition varies, overall very fine and impressive assembly (ex Mi.-Nr. 1/955)

40c. carmine tied by numeral dotted cancel "235" to front of a folded letter to Italy, departure cds "TUNISI POSTE ITALIANE 22 7 68" alongside, reverse arrival cds "GENOVA 26 7 68", usual horizontal file fold away from the adhesive, very fine

(Mi. 4b) and an unlisted 15k. with framed Z type E4, plus some counter-surcharges; a very fine group of genuine Armenian monograms, most items with a Stefan Berger opinion

SPECIMEN overprinted in blocks of four and pairs, 5r. colour trial proof (opinion Stefan Berger) and 25r. pair of proofs in black on thick ungummed paper; a nice assembly from the original printing, very fine (ex Mi.-Nr Ia/Ik)
