Paper wrapper. Nearly good condition. Mahé and Dr. Legrand worked together very closely in the early years of the 1860s. Then the first edition of his later study was published as series of articles in “Le Timbrophile” from April to July, 1865. The brochure by “Dr. Magnus” on watermarks is the first monograph on a specialised philatelic subject and was an inspiration for Alfred Moschkau later to write about this topic himself.
