1860, 1 shilling orange-vermilion bisected, left half with full to wide marigins, tied by 2 strikes of grid cancel to piece with adjacent red date stamp "ST. JOHN'S SP 10 1861" and London date stamp of September 30. The stamp has been lifted for inspection and replaced; very fine and extremely rare, only one other bisect of this stamp (on cover) is known, certificates BPA (1969) and W. Jakubek Provenance: Dale-Lichtenstein (1969)
