1857/64, 4 pence scarlet-vermilion with full to wide margins and 3 d. yellowish green with margin repaired at top, tied by light grid to rebacked cover from "ST. JOHNS DC 8 1858" to Baltimore with "NEW-YORK SHIP 5 cts. DEC 31" on front; despite faults a very rare and attractive cover. certificate BPA

6 1/2 pence scarlet-vermilion, large margins all around and lightly cancelled, small thinning on reversed filled, but very attractive, a rare stamp, certificate BPA (1970)
1860, 1 shilling orange-vermilion bisected, left half with full to wide marigins, tied by 2 strikes of grid cancel to piece with adjacent red date stamp "ST. JOHN'S SP 10 1861" and London date stamp of September 30. The stamp has been lifted for inspection and replaced; very fine and extremely rare, only one other bisect of this stamp (on cover) is known, certificates BPA (1969) and W. Jakubek

1862/64, 6 pence rose-lake, horizontal pair with enormous margins all around from the lower right sheet corner, neatly used, a marvellous example.

1933, Balbo flight 4,50 dollar on 75 cents., tied by cds. "ST. JOHN'S 26 JUL 33" to the US via Rome with special flight cachet on front and several transit and arrival marks on reverse, very fine
