1861: 1 d. rose-red, no. wmk., rough perf. 14-16, in two horizontal pairs, used in combination with 1862 6 d. deep green, two examples on 1865 second page of entire letter (Duke of Polignac correspondence) to Paris at double rate, all tied by 'A10' obliterator handstamps in black. 'St. Vincent' single ring despatch cds in black (Nov 8), London 'Paid' transit cds (Nov 29) and 1/2 in red manuscript credit to Britain. The stamps all of excellent rich colour and a most attractive and scarce franking.

1881: Cover from Bangkok to Paris franked by Straits Settlements 8 c. orange-yellow tied by bamboo lozenge of dots handstamp in black and by part 'E. Lamache & Co. / Bangkok (Siam)' Company cachet in blue. The correctly rated cover with fine strike of octagonal French Paquebot POSS. ANGL. / PAQ. FR. N. No. 8 datestamp (Sept 29) in black (Salles fig. 1933) and carried on the 'Anadyr'. Red 'Modane A Paris' TPO at left (Oct 30). Reverse with large SINGAPORE / PAID cds in red (Sept 29) and Paris arrival cds (Oct 30). Slight cut in face panel and seal removed from reverse but an extremely rare cover.
