1864, horizontal pair Napoléon 80 c. rose tied by blue anchor to folded cover with blue ship cancel "GODEWERY 16.NOV.64" and blue boxed "FRANCISSEMENT INSUFFISANT" to Messina with boxed "PIROSCAFI POSTALI FRANCESI" and arrival mark, despite small faults a nice combination

1865, "DANUBE 9.DEC.65", clear strike in black on folded cover from Marseilles with disinfected slits to Athen with Hermes head 80 l. red, 40 l. lilac on bluish, 10 l. orange on greenish and 2 l. pale brown tied by cds. "ATHEN 9.DEC.65", despite some small faults a fine cover with rare combination

1866, Napoléon 40 c. orange, tied by anchor cancel to folded cover from Salonique (30.3.66) with ship cancel "BALKAN 30.OCT.66", used on the ship "GODAVERY" to Lyon with "DARDANELLES TURQUIE" and arrival mark, cover with repaired tear at left top, otherwise fine; a rare usage

1866, Napoleon perforated 20 c.  and GB 1d., 3d. and 6d., all tied by anchor postmark to small envelope with adjacent "PANAMA PAQ.FR. A No. 1/ 3 DEC.66" (Steamer  'Nouveau Monde') to France, taxed with "10" decimes with adjacent red boxed "AFFRANCHISEMENT INSUFFISANT"; the franked english 10 pence were the sufficiant postage for english packet; most likely the letter missed the english ship; the french rate for unpaid letters was 1,20 fr., so apperently the franked 20 c. were accepted as part payment.
