"ПОЧТОВЫЙ ВАГОНЪ № 106 3 АВГ 1888", adressed to Honourable Baron Nikolai Ivanovich Mengden in the estate Zapol'e, Novgorod province, via Tikhvin. Despite two folds, and some graze on the left upper corner of the Wenden stamp a very fine cover, being the only known triple franking cover with Imperial, Wenden and Zemstvo stamps, very detailed certificate Greis AIEP (Schmidt bzw. Strebulaev Nr. 26) The family “Baron von Mengden-Altenwoga” belonged to the oldest nobility in the Baltic provinces and had their major estate in Altenwoga in the Wenden district (Livonia).
