ORIGINAL WATERLOW SAMPLE BOOK: Small brown hardback book, cover embosed in gold “WATERLOW & SONS LIMITED. STAMPS-TIMBRES. LONDON WALL, LONDON", containing 17 pages (each page approx. 145x169mm) with interleaving, 3 pages empty, 14 of the pages with mounted, imperforated stamps, mostly blocks or strips of four, New Zealand, Acores, Timor, Madeira and China with single stamps. Mostly printed in different colours than the issued stamp. Cover broken, few interleaving pages and few stamps with
creases resp. small paper breaks. We believe that this ‘specimen book’ would have been used as a sales tool to demonstrate the quality of Waterlow’s production c.1880s period. A very rare opportunity
