1914, 28.9., commercial cover with backside advertising from Hull to Midvaag with great pink British censor label "OPENED BY CENSOR. 86"; one of the earliest recorded censored covers to the Faroes in WWI and the only recorded with pink label

Postcard with 1905, 2 øre red and 1913, 5 øre green, dated "H.M.S. 'Beskytteren' Christmas 1918" (prior to its January 2, 1919 departure), sent to Copenhagen and re-directed to Vedbaek with both arrival marks on front, Copenhagen machine cancel tying the stamps. There are only 3 entires recorded with 2 øre stamps used in the provisional period; a marvelous example and great rarity of Faroes postal history; certificate Nielsen (2006)

Bisected 1904/12, 4 øre on 8 øre with additional franking Christian 5 øre, tied by cds. "VAAG 20.1.19" to piece, very fine. The only recorded example of this bisect from the correct period of use and a great rarity of Faroe Islands; certificates Nielsen (1995) and Möller BPP (2008)

Wrapper bisect 4 øre, lower left half with Christian 5 øre, tied by first-day-cancel "THORSHAVN 6.1.19" to small envelope to Tjørnovik; cover slightly reduced at left by opening and some minor creasing, not affecting the franking. UNAUTHORIZED BISECTS: Christian 5 øre bisect with adhering normal stamp, tied by clear star cancel "HALDERSVIG" and arrival mark "THORSHAVN 5.2.19" to commercial envelope to the milk company at Thorshavn, most likely in lack of 7 øre-stamps in the small village. A rare commercial usage, six 5 øre bisect covers are recorded, the others being from Kirke (2), Klaksvig (2) and Thorshavn; certificate Wowern (1990) Provenance: Chris McGregor (1995), Per Erik Knudsen (2003)

Christian 10 øre bisect, used with provisional stamp 2 øre on 5 øre, tied by star cancel "FUGLEFJORD" to cover with sender's notation from Lervig to Sydregöte. 3 such bisects are recorded, supposedly used in the correct period of time due to lack of 5 øre stamps; certificates Grønlund (1963) and Möller BPP (2006)

Surcharge issue 2 øre on 5 øre with 5 øre, tied by first-day-cancel "THORSHAVN 13.1.19" to local cover; the 5 øre with slightly rounded corner, otherwise very fine. A rare and attractive first-day-cover, certificate C.A. Möller (1999) Provenance: Chris McGregor (1995)

2 øre on 5 øre with 5 øre, cancelled in transit by cds. "KLAKSVIG 17.1.19" on envelope to Thorshavn, originating from Kirke with clear star cancel partly underneath the provisional stamp. 2 øre on 5 øre, 2 horizontal pairs and 2 single stamps, together with horizontal pair Christian 5 øre (applied torn), used on local registered envelope of "THORSHAVN 23.1.19". This is the largest recorded and most spectacular franking of the provisional issue, certificates Grønlund (1970) and Möller BPP (2000)

2 øre on 5 øre with Christian 25 øre, tied by light star cancel "FUGLEFJORD" to front of money letter (somewhat reduced in size) to Thorshavn with arrival mark of 24.1.1919, tying the provisional stamp; a rare use and combination, certificate Wowern (1984) Provenance: Per Erik Knudsen (2003)
