Assembly of seven original documents in French and Russian plus three photographed documents from the archive of Sredinsky, the Postmaster, with details of the preparation of the stamps by the printer Yessayan and, notably, a typed document in French which is an attempt to persuade the Allied powers occupying Constantinople to allow the conversion of the existing "Poste Russe" (which used a handstamp) into a stamp-issuing authority. Unique collection.
