1918, Coat of arms 40 sch. green, two vertical pairs and 15k. block of four (Chernihiv type [Bulat 216]) tied by cds. "KIEV 25 6 20" to Telegraphic Money Transfer Form sending 4000 roubles to Bugulma with "BUGULMA 21 7 20" receiver cancel on reverse. The card is annotated in Mss. at the top " Received under Soviet Government" to distinguish it from transfers registered in the preceding, brief Polish-Ukrainian (Petliura) period. Trident stamps affixed at aedge, otherwise fine, a scarce, late and non-philatelic usage
1918, 2k. green (Odessa Type I) and horizontal strip of five and two singles 14k. (Odessa type III), all stamps revalued x 100 in accordance with the RSFR Tariff of March 1920, tied by cds. "BERISLAV 16 8 20" to Telegraphic Money Transfer Form, modified by hand to create an ordinary "by Post" Transfer Form used to send 5000 roubles to Tver guberniya with "TVER 8 9 20" transit- and "BORISKOVO TVER. 14 9 20" receiver cancel together with recipient's signature. In manuscript at the top of the form it is noted that the Transfer was made "under Soviet power" which had come to the Kherson guberniya earlier in 1920, some stamps small faults but a nice and attractive item, signed UPNS Zelonka
KYIV: 4k. red, 20 stamps with scarce overprint type 2ee tied by cds. to front and reverse of money order, another clipped money order with mixed franking also, the first one with punch holes, fine
1918, 50k., 21 stamps in multiples (Katerinoslav type I), tied by cds. "ALEXANDROVSK EKATERINOSL 5 4 19" to insured Parcel Card for sending a parcel of 20 Funt 10 gram to Soviet-controlled Riga with "RIGA 13 4 19" receiver and recipient's signature (in Latin script) on reverse, small boxed War Censorship cachet in violet and signature on front of card, stamps partly with faults, but attractive and scarce
KHARKOV: 10rbl. as horizontal pair and 7rbl yellow/black, both with Kharkov type 2 overprint, the latter with inverted overprint, used at "KABANE KHARK", some imperfections, scarce
Provenance: ex Schmidt collection (who worked in Kharkiv as an engineer in the 1930s)
1918, 1k. orange and 2k. green imperforated, two blocks of 25 (Kyiv type II a- e) resp. strip of five (Kyiv type III), all revalued 100 times in accordance with RSFSR regulations, and yielding a franking of 60 roubles (2% of the sum transferred), tied by cds. "POLEVAYAR POCHTOVAN KONTORA No. 69 19 9 20" to front and reverse of money transfer form used to send 3000 roubles via "SAMARA 22 9 20" to Shlamkkha Samar with arrival cds. Payment appears to have been made on 21st October (see Mss. slip attached to reverse), heavy transportation wear and creases, a very attractive and rare entire
1918, 3k. red, Kyiv type II, as five-sixths "bisect", together with revalued Russia Imperial Arms 5k.(3) and 20k. vertical strip of four tied by cds. "MONASTIRISHE KIEV 21 1 21" to Ukrainian National Republic Parcel Card, used in the Soviet period with "Red Army" endorsement in Mss. at top, used to send 39 Funt to the village of Archangelskoe with arrival cds. "BORSHEVO VORON[ezh] 11 3 21". Franked at 97 roubles 50 kopecks, exactly in accord with the charges set out on the card, few folds not detracting, very attractive, rare and unsual item with sexisected stamp
