1826, small entire letter from Madrid to St. Petersburg, Russia, struck on front with clear "ESPAGNE PAR BAYONNE"; verx fine and rare

1870, Hispania 25 m., 50 m., 100 m. and 200 m., tied to lettersheet (small part on reverse missing) with small cds. "MALAGA 21 NOV. 71" to St. Petersburg, Russia; 100 m. affected by cover crease, otherwise fine. A rare 4 coulor franking.

"PAID AT SAN JUAN PORTO RICO", crowned handstamp, on the entire letter, franked for the local postage with Spanish West Indies 1857, ½ reales blue with good two large margins, tied by 'parilla', sent via British Post Office "SAN JUAN PORTO RICO JU 29 1858", London and France to Palma de Majorca with transit- and arrival marks on front and reverse; very fine and fresh, an attractive combination cover with unusual destination. INCOMING MAIL: 1848, Faltbrief ab "Mayagüez Pto Rico 24 Septbr 1848" mit Leitvermerk "By Brit West Ind. Steamer" sowie Taxe "1/2" nach Bremen, mit rückseitig sauberem Stempel "SAN JUAN PORTO-RICO SP 25 1848", bei Ankunft mit 54 Grote belastet, ein schöner Brief in guter Erhaltung auf dem für die Hagemeyer-Korrespondenz typisch dünnem Papier

AUSTRIA - PHILIPPINES: 1857, entire letter from Trieste to Manila, prepaid with 49 kreuzer, and originally franked with 1850/54, 2 copies 2 kreuzer black and  9 kreuzer blue, strip of three and two singles (one fallen off and mistakenly replaced by a  2 kreuzer stamp), all tied by cds. "TRIEST 10 8" (1857). On reverse noted "9/30" for the sea postage from Trieste to Alexandria and the conveyance to Singapore; another "2" reales for the postage from Singapore to Manila had to be paid by the recipient. On front faint red cds. of Alexandria with adjacent"1/-" in red crayon. Usual slight ageing and transportation marks; overall a fine and attractive entire. This is the only recorded letter from Austria via the 'overland mail' to the Philippines. Certificate Enzo Diena (stating 2 kreuzer repaired).

1857, kompletter Faltbrief von Triest nach Manila, mit 49 Kreuzern bezahlt bis Singapur,  ursprünglich frankiert mit 1850/54, 2 Exemplaren 2 Kreuzer schwarz und Dreierstreifen und zwei Einzelmarken 9 Kreuzer blau (eine abgefallen und irrtümlich durch eine 2-Kreuzer-Marke ersetzt), alle mit EKr. "TRIEST 10 8" (1857). Rückseitig in Rötel "9/30" für das Seeporto von Triest nach Alexandria und die Beförderung nach Singapur; weitere "2" Reales für das Porto von Singapur nach Manila waren vom Empfänger zu zahlen. Vorderseitig schwacher roter Transitstempel von Alexandria sowie "1/-" in roter Kreide. Übliche leichte Alterungs- und Transportspuren, insgesamt ein gut erhaltener und attraktiver Brief. Dies ist der einzige registrierte Brief aus Österreich über die 'overland mail'  auf die Philippinen. Fotoattest Enzo Diena ("2 Kreuzer repariert").
