1879, Coat of arms 20c. lilac tied by concentric circle to large format double-weight cover sent from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with adjacent red "CORREOS del SALVADOR PAQUETES AGO 14 1 1879" via London to Naples with arrival mark, cover opened out for display, some minor faults as to be expected, the stamp was issued only in August 1879, from 1880 already 22 centavos were due for such a letter, a very early and rare use of this stamp, certificate PF (1998)
1889, Allegory with handstamp "1889" 1c. green with additional franking tied by mute two-ring cancellation to cover to London with transit and arrival mark, horizontal fold not affecting the adhesives, a very rare and attractive entire, this issue was only valid for about 40 days and only few covers are known

Antonio Ezeta, had succeeded his brother Carlos as president. However, due to corrupt and dictatorial leadership, he was overthrown at the end of 1894, so that the prepared stamps where not issued.
