1851, Beaver 3p. red and Albert 6p. slate violet, fresh color and each with good margins, tied by straight-line "PAID" resp. "REGISTERED" to front of colorless embossed registered cover with adjacent cds. "LOSKEY UC Febr. 9th 1856" to New York, with red "PAID" and manuscript "15" alongside, two vertical folds not affecting the adhesives, the stamps cleaned and partially repaired, especially 6p. at upper left corner. Despite the faults on outstanding item with only one other cover known to the US paying the 9p. rate.
