In tatty condition but most likely a unique example of the stamp imperforate.

1911 1 pice turquoise-blue horizontal pair with manuscript surcharge "1/2 a". An article by R.F. Stoney on this particular surcharge appeared in PJI (Philatelic Journal of India) May 1937 page 61 which reads "One of our members (Mr. E. Franklin DeSouza), who was kind enough to write to the State authorities on the subject, has informed me that he has received a communication dated the 11th February 1936, from the Inspector of State Post Offices, Charkhari State as follows: "I beg to inform you that the stamps mentioned in your letter were issued in 1922 and 1930 and were official. Now all of them are out of stock since the new pictorial stamps were issued." The above letter would therefore vouch for the genuineness of these Provisionals"
