1912, King George V 1½ d. brown, tied by illegible cds. to envelope to Menton, taxed upon arrival with French postage dues, then redirected to and taxed in Monte Carlo, next sent to Italy where it was taxed a third time with Italian postage due, finally sent back to Bristol, with transit cds. "LONDON 18 MY 25". A fine, well travelled and colourfull mail

1866/1957, used collection with stamps and covers, presented within two large albums, a stockbook and a small file, comprising a study from Turkish Provinces through to modern commemorative issues, includes scarcer early usages such as 5 pi. rose used on 1866 cover from Cairo to Alexandria, a 2 pi. blue used on 1870 wrapper to Cairo, noted a very attractive registered 1879 envelope franked with a vertical pair of 1 pi. rose, also a selection of Austrian, French, British and Italian Foreign Post Offices in Egypt, strong assortment of Aerial Post/Air Mail, with Zeppelin covers, some express mail, postal stationery, censored mail and postage dues, many complete used sets; a reasonably comprehensive assembly in mostly fine condition.
