Cover salvaged from the ship´s wreck while on its way to Suez on 19 November 1862, both the envelope and the adhesives faulty as to be be expected, very scarce and most unusual mail from New South Wales

Ein dekorativer Überseebrief mit sehr seltener Destination Vandiemensland (Tasmanien), Australien

VICTORIA: 1857/60, 4 Pence rosa, gez. 12, senkrechtes Paar und Einzelwert, mit Nummernstempel "1" von Melbourne auf kleinem, teilbezahltem Briefkuvert über Frankreich, mit vorderseitigem "AUSTRALIE V. SUEZ AMB.A 6 OCT. 59" nach Brunsbütteler Hafen. Bei Ankunft taxiert mit "52" dänischen Skilling. Ein attraktiver und seltener Brief in sehr schöner Erhaltung. (SG 85)
