"P.131.P./NIENHUYS" in rot, sehr sauber auf kompletten Faltbrief aus Twist, an den “ernannten Bischof zu Münster”,  Ferdinand August Freiherr Spiegel zum Diesenberg, der am 18 April 1813 von Napoleon zum Bischof von Münster ernannt worden war. Ein interessanter Brief mit seltenem Stempel.

1895, Shipwreck of the Steamer "Elbe", envelope from Odessa to New York, embarked in Bremen and recovered at sea after the maritime disaster, with both emergency postmarks "Frei! Marke abgefallen - Paid! Stamp lost." and "Geborgen aus der Postladung des untergegangenen Dampfers Elbe. Postamt 1 Bremen", with arrival cds., cover with normal faults as to be expected from salvaged mail. Very rare, one of only two shipwreck covers recorded originating from Imperial Russia

"SAVED FROM THE WRECK OF THE COLOMBO", perfect strike of the emergency handstamp on envelope from New South Wales to Merthyr Tydvil, franked with 2 d. blue, two singles, adjacent cds. "SYDNEY OC 22 1862", red transit "LONDON JA 2 63 PAID" and reverse arrival. Cover salvaged from the ship´s wreck while on its way to Suez on 19 November 1862, both the envelope and the adhesives faulty as to be be expected, very scarce and most unusual mail from New South Wales
