1921, Finance Fiscal 1 pia. yellow block of ten top margin, variety inverted overprint and the unrecorded variety ‘bottom row of overprint large overprint type instead of small type’. Block with nine stamps mint never hinged, strip unused. Very fine. This special feature was discovered by Max Plantinga and was a highlight of his exhibition collection, from which you can now purchase a complete page with another three-stripe stamp, which perfectly documents the large and small printing types.

1933, 10th Anniversary of the Republic complete set of seven stamps tied to registered cover by violet ISTANBUL 29.10.1933 to Canada, on reverse railroad marks HALIFAX&CAMP NO/9/33, SYDNEY&TRURO NO/10/33 and arrival mark L' ARDOISE NO/10/33 N.S., tiny flaw on top, otherwise fine and very scarce. 1pi brown on thin paper, tete-beche pair, without control band, ample to large margins on all sides, unused, with part original gum, light wrinkles typical of this delicate paper, top stamp with light horizontal crease, else fine, scarce. (Isf 16 TB02)
1863, 5 pia. black on brown, used with very clear ‘Battal’ cancellation, blue control band at bottom, showing DOUBLE FRAME variety at left, unusual & extremely rare in this colour (Isfila Specialised No. 18, variety BE112 unrecorded). A gem of Tughra issues.

Pe.' (Porto Piastre) in the central vignette, on large irregular piece of cover addressed to Smyrne with framed 'P-Anchor-P' cachet in black at left. Very Rare. Cert. Behr (2009).
1867, Ship Mail entire letter from Constantinople (14/Dec) to Malta, showing extremely rare strike of framed «Valsamachy and Co / steam ship agents / and ship brokers / Constantinople» in blue, inside endorsed “Through”, same company blue oval cachet alongside, addressed to Golcher Esq. Malta and forewarded by Agent “EYNAUD & PARIENTE / SENSALI DI NELECCIO / ED AGENTI / VALETTA MALTA” with blue oval cachet (PROFI archive unrecorded type) on reverse. Two Mediterranean Forewarding Agent cachets on one cover are extremely scarce, tiny ink spots and file fold, otherwise fine and very rare.

1864, Turkey 20 pa. black on yellow thin paper, a fine horizontal pair (right stamp closed on top) and single, generally good to wide margins, tied to 1864 entire letter from Sarajewo to Mostar, stamps very light cancelled Bosna in dots (Brandt-Ceylan Type IIA no.1, RRR), fine first issue entire.
1866, Entire letter to Brod bearing Postage Due 20 pa. light brown pair, cancelled by double-ringed all arabic ‘Bosna/81’ with dot under ‘B’, (Brandt-Ceylan Type IV no.1, RRR), handstamped in black, a filing crease does not affect the stamps, otherwise fine.
1869, „RUSCUK 81“, all arabic double circle, clear strike (AP Type:04, No:5, R) on envelope to Constantinople, at arrival Duloz 1868 issue 1 pia. yellow and 20 p. green tied by Deraliye box type to envelope. A fine and rare cover. Signed Nakri AIEP.

"NASLIDJ ", cds (ISFILA type 3) on postcard with long text, dated 1903, endorsed "via Salonique Athens". Supposed to be unique.

1870, Turkey postage due 20 pa. brown, 1869 issue perf. 13¼, horizontal pair and single, tied to entire letter from Beirut to Damas, paying the rate for three dirhems up to 100 route hours; each tied by fine strikes of small triple boxed "BEIRUT / 81" handstamps in blue (Coles & Walker fig. 4), tiny toned, stamps and postmarks excellent.
