Beginning with a 1614 folded letter from Heidelberg there folow many interesting markings such as manuscript “v Vienne” (1784) and “de francfort s/m" (1786) on letters to France, framed “POSTA DI URBINO” (1810), Départements conquis “99 / GENEVE” on 1813 entire to Annecy, red “ESTAF.” on prepaid 1830 Estaffette-letter from Paris to London, 1837 entire from Livorno to Genoa, probably erroneously struck with red oval “VIA DI MARE / LEVANTE” and slitted for disinfection or red “Aus Russland” on 1864 letter from St. Petersburg via Prussia to France.
