1862/64, 6 d. lilac with hair lines with 3 copies 1865/67, 6 d. lilac and 1858/79, 1 d. lake-red on entire letter from "MANCHESTER MY 23 1865" to Montevideo with transit marks on front; slight transportation faults, but nice letter with paid late fee to abroad
1867, 3 d. rose pl. 9, tied by Ilford duplex to cover to St. Omer. On arrival the cover was readressed and forwarded to Charenton Lew Port; however it was mailed in the post box and the re-adressing remained unpaid. Therefore straightline "TROUVEE DANS LA BOITE" and "40" in black was applied, the Great Britain adhesive beeing erased by pen strokes, scare and despite same faults an appealing cover with rare Intructional marking
3 d. rose, pl. 10 used on underpaid cover 1873 to Nassau, Bahamas, tied by London duplex (July 11), charged 1/3 d. in manuscript to pay, further manuscript at top of cover 'Defi(ciency) 9 d. 1/2 fine 6 d.' and charged 1/3 d. in manuscript accordingly, Bahamas date-stamp on reverse (Sept 9) and manuscript 'Not Known' in red ink at left; an unusual usage to a scarce destination and very fine
6 d. dull violet, tied by numeral "498" to folded letter to Porto with adjacent
oval "FRANCA" and boxed "P.BRIT" and red "MANCHESTER PAID", reverse with transit and arrival mark, horizontal filing fold, otherwise fine
1873,80, 6 d. grey, pl. 16, tied by duplex 'BOURNEMOUTH AU 6 79' to envelope to the Cape of Good Hope, returned to England and here readdressed several times; the envelope somewhat toned and slight transportation faults; interesting item
8 d. orange, SE, unused with part o.g. (partly re-distributed), two minor gum thinnings, otherwise perfect perforation and centering, very fresh state of preservation, K. Louis BPP opinion (SG 1100,-)
8 d. orange, a fine single franking on 1878 printed 'Via Brindisi' envelope addressed to the P&O Agent in Aden, tied by '983' obliterator. Saundersfoot dispatch cds. (Sept 26) on reverse with Aden arrival cds. (Oct 9) alongside; a scarce franking

"Jubilee"-Issue 4 d. green and brown, imperf. Imprimatur from the lower left corner of the pane, large part o.g. with hinge remainder, very fresh condition

1900, 1 sh. green and carmine, used with 1881/82, 1 d. lilac (16 dots), 1900, 1/2 d. blue-green and 1887, 2 1/2 d. as 4-colour mixed franking neatly cancelled "HARWICH OC. 18. 01" squared circle d.s. on Express-Delivery envelope (few age-spots) marked in m.s. "Must be at Wetherden as early Saturday, as possible or tonight". The 1 sh. green and carmine is by far the rarest denomination of the Jubilee Issues on cover. Listed and illustrated by Theo Brauers in "Rare Victorian Stamps on cover"
1902, 1 d. scarlet, tied by duplex cancel "WORCESTER JA14 03" to cover to Rangoon than readressed several times, front showing several postage dues marks and reverse with transit marks of e.g. Sinagore and Yokohama, opened on two sides and some usual imperfections, but still good quality for this cover
1 d. tied on arrival by cds. "GRANVILLE MANCHE 23-7 03" to postcard to Paris, mailed on board of steamer with scarce "ANGL. B.M. - GRANVILLE" octagonal datestamp (Salles 379) in black, card was underpaid and taxed with Postage Due 30 c. pale carmine on receipt, an unusual usage

CALCUTTA", despite some imperfections a very interesting cover

EGYPT: 'B01' ALEXANDRIA, 3 clear strikes on 1862/64, 1 sh. green in horizontal strip of 4, the 4th stamp cancelled unclearly; the strip almost completely separated in the middle and reinforced by hinge, fine
POST OFFICE IN PERU: 1867, 5 A. pale rose, CE, plate 2, cancelled with "C36" ARICA barred tall oval in blue, slight tropical toning, otherwise fine. Very rare, a maximum of only 4 copies recorded with the blue 'C36' (all from plate 2), K.Louis BPP certificate
PORTO RICO: 'F85' on 1 d. rose-red in horizontal pair and 2 d. blue on cover front with adjacent 'MAYAGUEZ PORTO RICO MY 81 75' (date error) to Porto Plata; horizontal crease through the pair, otherwise fine
URUGUAY: 'PAID AT MONTEVIDEO', crowned handstamp on letter sheet with reverse side 'MONTEVIDEO JY 5 1857' to Bilbao with front side inland tax '4.R.' in red, on reverse several transit marks including 'CANARIAS'; fine and scarce
