MAIL RETAINED FROM THE CENSORS: 5 unused double and two normal postal stationary cards GRI 1d. on 10 Pfg. addressed to Leipzig with text including "...Since the 29th of August Samoa has been occupied by the New Zealand troops...", very interesting

1917/19, three covers, including one registered, to Netherland, Switzerland and USA, all with censor mark, mostly fine

TONGA: Postal stationary 1d. red from "NUKUALOFA 6 NOV 14" to Apia, with clear censor mark, delivered on July 23rd 1919, fine

BYPASSING OF THE CENSORSHIP: US Postal Stationary 2 C. red from "PAGO PAGO OCT 9 15" to Dobrilugk in Germany, reverse with interesting text "A few days ago we came from Apia...", fine

"APIA 24 11 14" german cds. on picture postcard bearing ½d. green adhesive, with annotation "on active service", addressed to Auckland, as no cards where allowed depicting unused reproductions of stamps all "stamps" on the reverse have also been cancelled, fine and scarce

"APIA 30 10 14" german cds. on cover with annotation "on active service", addressed to Wellington, with full content, small tear and creases at top, otherwise fine, scarce

Picture postcard written by a New Zealand soldier and most likely transported in a cover, with interesting text "....The Germans have near all ran away so we are no just waiting for them to send some soldiers..", fine, scarce
