½ r. blue fresh colour and good margins on three sides, just touched at right, tied with two clear cds. "QUITO 12 MARZO 70" to first page of a legal document of the commercial court of Quito sent to Latacunga, a rare usage (Scott Nr. 2)
1872, ½ r. ultramarine on blued paper, complete sheet of 84, showing marginal bars and uneven inking of the stone typical for the late printing, few wrinkles in lower left part, folded once vertically and some reinforcement by hinges on top margin, not detracting, a spectacular and striking item with only 6 complete sheets known (Scott Nr. 2c)
½ r. gray-blue, worn impression, good margins on three sides, touched at bottom, used to pay the single domestic rate per ¼ or., tied by cds. "QUITO 30 JUL" to small mourning cover to Paris, transferred at the Guayaquil to the British P.O. with corresponding double arc datestamp on reverse, for carriage by PSNC steamer to Panama, thence placed on H.M. packet to England. Anglo-French "GB/1F90c" accountancy marking applied on mail up to 30gr. from the Pacific coast, with french entry and "12" decimes due marking to be paid be the addressee. A very rare cover to a transatlantic destination., only about 5 covers are known. Signed Holcombe with certificate and certificate Moorhouse (Scott Nr. 2a)

"CUENCA 29 Set 66" to large size wrapper to Quito, the wrapper climatically toned, refolded and reinforced with tape in places, nevertheless very rare and to our knowledge the largest block recorded on a wrapper (Scott Nr. 5)
