"REFUGEE CAMP SPRINGFONTEIN PASSED CENSOR" oval violet censor mark on franked cover with pink censor label addressed to a POW camp in Ceylon, a very rare censor mark only recorded for just over 2 weeks, this being the latest known usage, few minor imperfections
BERMUDA: Darrel's Island, 1901, ½d. postal stationery with 1d. additional franking from the POW camp to Rotterdam with blue censor mark "PRISONSERS OF WAR BERMUDA PASSED CENSOR", fine and rare
BURGHER AND REFUGEE CAMPS: 1902, 6 covers including covers to the camps "Bloemfontein", "Kroonstadt", "Vryburg" and covers from the Burgher camps "Middleburg" and "Irene", some with faults, but mostly good, a interesting group
1899/1900, very interesting collection containg 22 cards and covers and some stamps, spanning from the first british backlash to Treaty of Vereeniging, including censored mail, blockhouse fieldpost, Machadodorp postal stationery, picture postcard Krüger leaving Transvaal and arrriving in Europe, mostly fine
1900, 3d. Major Goodyear and General Baden-Powell, each used with clear cds, the latter slightly discolored, otherwise fine, opinion Holcombe for Goodyear
1867, 1 sh. green, tied to small envelope from Pietermaritzburg June 1869 to London, very fine, ex Sammlung "Frankfurt"
1856/65, 5 c. red, tied to lettersheet with part of contents (one side flap missing), part paid via Panama and London to Hanau near Frankfurt, Germany, in London the letter was charged 2 sh. 4 p., in Germany the total of "33" kr. were charged to the recipient. The letter was before charged by mistake with "94½" kr., but later corrected; slight age wear; a very scarce transatlantic letter, certificate Maier BPP
5 c. red, horizontal pair tied to part paid double rate lettersheet (not quite complete on reverse) via Panama and London to Hanau, charged in London with 2 sh. 4 p. and in Germany with a total of "33" kr.; small faults, a very scarce double rate transatlantic letter, certificate Maier BPP
