1869/1949, excellent unused and used collection with ca. 750 stamps, incl. a fine part of officials, specialised with shades, some large multiples, many interesting items, together with a selection of imperforated colour proofs blocks of four of the “POSTAGE” type on thin watermarked paper, som occasional faults, overall in very good condition, a lovely specialist lot, on loose album leaves and stockcards
1885/1944 (ca), group of over 48 covers, postal stationeries, some interesting items incl. registered mail, some mixed frankings with British India and a post office book record page, together with a few unused stationeries, an interesting assembly in mixed condition
1932/44, small mint never hinged/unused and used group, incl. a fine selection of four cpl. booklets (SG-Nr. 4-6) together with a few loose panes, F5a in an unused block of four, etc., mostly fine
1888/1949 (ca), comprehensive mint never hinged/unused and used accumulation, incl. officials and fiscals, specialized with some blocks and large multiples, starting from the first issue on laid paper with some duplicates and shades, later issues well represented with overprints, overall good condition, a great specialist lot in three stockbooks
1867/1980 (ca.), unused and used collection in 2 stockbooks , with several $-values and complete sets, many better items
1954/93: Seemingly complete mint never hinged collection beginning with the colonial issues for North Borneo, later Malayan Federation incl. Postage Due, Malaysia1963-2007 incl. Postage Due, Souvenir and Miniature Sheets as well as the state definitives for Johore, Kedah, Kelantan, Malacca, Negri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, Perak, Perlis, Sabah, Sarawak, Selanghor, Trengganu and Wilayah Persekutuan.
1954/2006, seemingly complete mint never hinged collection incl. Postage Due and Airmail, the latter from 1928.
1858/1899, selection of 19 unused singles, a mix of examples with original gum and without, a small number with “CANCELLED” remainder overprints, note 1887 50c orange,1898 36c orange & ultramarine, and 1905 5c green & orange with SPECIMEN overprints, small faults to be expected, overall very good to fine.
1909/30s, balance of mint collection, mostly King Edward VII and George V definitive issues, the KEVII with line perf 14. (4), near-complete 1909-16 perf 14x14.5, missing the 8d, but including shades of the 2d., 5d., and 6d, range of 1930/3 King George V definitives, noting perf varieties, worn impression, the odd commemorative and a useful group of back of the book, 1899 Postage Due issues with 1s. and 2s. values, good representation of George V “Official” overprints including perf varieties, the occasional flaw to be expected, but chiefly fine with fresh and bright colours throughout.
1953/2008, seemingly complete mint never hinged collection including quite a few less common early issues and booklets as well as many miniature and souvenir sheets.
1967/2000, NIUE and TOKELAU ISLANDS, seemingly complete mint never hinged collection including Officials, miniature and souvenir sheets.
1901/1912, postal history collection of 20 items, nicely presented and competently written up on exhibition pages including interesting frankings and foreign registered items such as a seven-colour franking with SG 33b-39 on third weight registered letter form Lagos to Bresslau (D) as well as some interesting postmarks like “PAQUEBOT - PLYMOUTH” ON 1906 postcard to Brussels. Generally fine.
1940/2003, seemingly complete mint never hinged collection, thus including a number of scarcer earlier stamps such as 1940 definitives or 1949 Royal Silver Wedding 10 s. mauve (SG 12) as well as miniature and souvenir sheets. An unusually complete collection of this exotic area.
1949/2008, seemingly complete mint never hinged collection in two large albums including booklet panes and many souvenir and miniature sheets. Uncommon this recent and complete.
1926-54 Officials, mint and used collection, neatly-mounted and written-up in detail, with many desirable items, noting a scarce 1930–47 1d. double overprint block of four (toned), many mint multiples including positional blocks, marginal inscriptions, varieties, etc, a spot-check reveals much of the mint is never hinged, the occasional small fault, but a chiefly bright and fresh collection, ideal for study and expansion. (SG ex O1/O49)
1926/48, small group of mint and used, on stock cards, many chosen for varieties, including 1d. Dromedaris miscut pair, imperforate multiples, and ink smear block, 1927 2d. Union Building misperforated strip of four, block of ten with dramatic ink smear, 1933-8 1-1/2d. Gold Mine with “missing shade on mine dump” and “broken chimney” , etc, with small run of used singles, varied condition with some small faults, an interesting group for the specialist.
1952/2008, seemingly complete mint never hinged collection including Airmail and many modern miniature sheets. Fine.
1870/77 Coat of Arms, mix of mint and used examples, over thirty items, including Otto, Viljoen, and Borrius printings, though several suspect pieces included, 1883 Second Republic issues mostly mint, with comprehensive selection of Arms issues to 1896, V.R.I. / E.R.I. overprints, several likely reprints therein, 1902 Edward VII complete mint, 1903 printings including £1 green & violet mint, 1904-9 issues complete, the £1 used (1) and mint on chalky paper (1, crease), mixed condition, despite the spurious nature of some of the items, a useful reference group for further study.
1872/74, Typographed by J.P.Borrius, Potchefstroom, 1 d., 6 d. and 1 s. values, all on thin transparent paper, fine roulette 15½-16, with 1 d. bright carmine in varying shades, including a fine unused horizontal pair with gum and four further used examples; 6 d. ultramarine with seven used examples, including one with unusual inking flaw at top and another used with Orange Free State cancellation; 1 s. green unused (3) including a sheet marginal vertical pair and used (5), the occasional fault, but a chiefly fine and interesting group.
1872/74, Typographed by J.P.Borrius, Potchefstroom , a mostly used collection, with 1 d. reddish pink to carmine-red shades (3), the Dec 1872 clear printings on thin opaque paper, 6 d. ultramarine unused with large part original gum and used (6), also displaying a ranges of shades, 1 s. green in unused top sheet marginal vertical pair (slight tone spots) and used (3); 1873/74 printings on thickish wove paper with used 1 d. rose (3), and 6 d. milky blue (3), two further used examples on thick dense paper; the odd small fault, generally fine, a scarce selection. (ex Scott 29-34)
1877, First British Occupation, “V.R. Transvaal”, Celliers printings, a mint and used selection including 3 d. lilac on pelure paper ,used (2); 6 d. milky blue imperforate on coarse soft paper used (2); June 1877 1 d. orange-red used; 1 d. bright red on stout hard surfaced paper, imperforate, optd. Type 4 in black, unused examples (11) and used examples (2), one unused example with RPSL certificate; used rouletted 1 d. bright red single and horizontal pair, some small flaws, mostly four-margin examples, a chiefly fine holding of these difficult stamps (21 items). 1877 (Aug 31): First British Occupation, "V.R. / Transvaal", 6 d. blue on rose paper, imperforate, used examples with Type 4 overprint inverted (5) one with the Plate Flaw “TZ missing in POSTZEGEL” cancelled at Heidelberg with "9" numeral, 6 d. blue on rose, fine roulette, used examples with overprint upright (2) and inverted (1); a range of shades and impressions, overall fine, a scarce selection. (ex Scott 113b, 114, 114a)
1901, group of 1 d. black on red paper multiples, all with controller´s signature, incl. a cpl. imperforated sheet of 24 subjects with all three settings and three sheets cut horizontally in half between stamps, some with postmark “PIETERSBURG APR 01” (SG-Nr. 4-6, 25-27), mostly very fine
1925, 1st Airmail issue, small specialized collection with two copies 9d imperf at left, plate flaws, multiples, 2 entires, etc.
1990/2010, seemingly complete mint never hinged collction including souvenir and miniature sheets. An uncommonly recent collection covering the first twenty years of independence.
