BRITISH POST OFFICE: 1857, "BUENOS * AYRES 18 GEN 57", clear blue date stamp on letter sheet with part of contents via Rio and Genova with adjacent Sardinian packet marking "Vapori transatl." to Le Havre, desinfection slits, with French transit mark on front; some discolouration at lower left corner, otherwise fine, only 3 strikes are recorded of the blue date stamp, certificate Moorhouse

"BUENOS * AYRES 20 APR 57", cds. in blue with adjacent blue "P.P." on letter sheet with manuscript "1" rating to Montevideo; fine and extremely rare, supposed to be the only entire with the blue "P.P." marking, certificate Moorhouse

1858, Coat of Arms 5 c. blue on laid paper, a complete sheet of 30 stamps with large margins all around, unused with large part original gum, light vertical crease through pos. 5-25, few thin spots and some tears in the upper margin fixed; overall a very fine and rare multiple, pictured in 1958 Kneitschel catalogue on page 147

1858, Coat of Arms 5 c. blue, good to wide margins all around used on entire letter from Villa Nueva 1860 to Rosario, blunt upper right corner, otherwise very fine; there are only 5 covers recorded with this stamp, ex Del Pont and Elicabe, certificate Moorhouse

1885/88, Small Dragon 3 ca. violet tied by blue seal of Peking to small envelope with additional franking France type Sage 25 c., tied by cds. "SHANGHAI CHINE 3 OCT. 88" to France, showing on reverse blue "I.G. of customs Peking 23. sep 88." and black customs chops of Tientsin and Shanghai; the envelope small transportation faults and the French stamp partly flat perforation where affixed at the edge, a scarce cover
