DAPHNI: 1890, (20 July). Cover to Russia franked on reverse with pair of 20pa of 1890 UPU Empire stamps and tied by DAPHNI * ECHELLE (unrecorded by A&P) datestamp and on arrival franked with Zemstvo 5k Bogorodsk stamp and tied by arrival cds. One of the earliest usage of 1890 UPU Empire stamps if not the earliest.  Believed to be unique. Ex.Fabergé & Ferrari

THESSALONIKI: 1912, postal stationery card to Istanbul tied by very rare SALONIQUE - STAMBOUL 2 (A&P type 10, RRR) datestamp. Illustrated in A&P.

PRINCIPALITY: 1878, Coat of Arms 1pi blue in horizontal pair from lower part of the sheet (with straightedges at bottom as always), mint original gum, never hinged, excellent centering and great perforation, gum staining on the face is common, very rare

1921, Dante Alighieri 15-40c. imperforated, complete set in sheets of 50, fresh colours and mint never hinged, the top margin cut ireegulary affecting two 40c. stamps, unusaul natural gumwrinkles and bends, light vertical fold each, otherwise fine and attractive, signed Raybudi in the sheet margin with certificate (Sassone 7500,- für gestempelt)

20 c. blue and 10 c. grey-green tied by cds. "MILANO PACCHI FERROVIA 22.GEN.89" to postal stationery parcel card 1,25 l. via Chiasso to Basel, card vertical and horizontal folded and 10 c. with slight creases, rare usage (Sassone Pacchi Postali 1+2, 5.500,-)

1870/74, 10 l. blue/brown, unused with large part o.g., fresh colour, one short perf otherwise fine (Mi. 8.000,-)  

MILITARY POST: 1943 cpl. miniature sheet of 6 stamps (in ultramarine) "franchigia militare", unused without gum as issues, certificate Enzo Diena (1991)

SPLIT: 3,50 on 5c.-60c., complete set of 17, mint never hinged, fine and scarce, signed Colla with certificate

BOLSHEVIK PERIOD: 1917-19 (16.5) money transfer card for 15 rubles, sent from Lemburg, Lifland to a soldier with the 13th Finland regiment, via the Head Field Post Office at Velikie-Luki, from where it was directed to F.P.O. No.19, then to F.P.O. No.20, then F.P.O. No.18. Over 3 months later received in Kovrov, then to Riga (2.4.18), back to Kovrov (22.3.19) and finally returned to Lemburg two years later! A historical document, reflecting the fluid military situation and the disruption of postal communications during this period which saw the Bolshevik Revolution, German occupation of the Baltic States, the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, the Allied Armistice and civil war in Russia. Despite the nearly two years of effort, the poor soldier never received his (now vastly devalued and nearly worthless) 15 rubles

1918, 20k. on 14k. as vertical strip of three tied by cyrillic cds. "VELIKIE LUKI 27.7.18" to registered cover addressed to the Royal Dutch Consulate in Riga, with censor label and arrival mark "RIGA 17.8.18", a fine and scarce cover
