COLUMBIA - PRUSSIA: 1866, Cover franked with GB 1 d. red, plate 88, in vertical pair, one stamp applied damaged, and 9 d. straw in horizontal strip of 3 (left stamp straight edge), cancelled "C53" with adjacent "PANAMA 20 NO 1866 / TRANSIT" addressed to Berlin, additionally franked with unused Chile 1861/62, 10 c. blue, uncancelled, most likely for an originally planned dispatch from Chile. The cover sent by closed mail via Colon, St. Thomas and London (arrival mark of December 16) and further to Prussia. An attractive cover with a very scarce franking, sign.
