1856, 2d. blue two pairs, one with wmk "5" and 3d. yellow-green as pair, fresh colors and all with close to good margins, left stamp of 3d. small corner crease, otherwise fine
1897, 1 pence horizontal pair, paying for the 2 pence interisland postage, together with New South Wales 1888 2 pence blue and 1891 ½ penny slate, all tied by cds. "PORT VILA 22 JUN 97" to cover front to Sydney, some ageing, still fine and attractive usage showing the earliest date recorded from the Hambly correspondence

Fifth Sideface Issue with White Background 1895/96: 2½ d. colour trial proofs, three blocks of four in red-brown, dark-green and blueish-green, all perforated 12½-13 on gummed wmk. paper, one stamp per block mint never hinged, the other mint never hinged, very fine, a scarce and attractive assembly
