1853/64, Cape Triangulars, specialized unused and used collection, good range of shades throughout, better items such as One Shilling green (5), also 4d. blue, pair tied by triangular barred cancel to folded entire to Paarl, reverse red postmark "WELLINGTON NO 24 1855", and 4d. blue tied by triangular barred cancel to an envelope with "GRADOCK 1855" oval datestamp alongside, some minor faults. Usual defects for those delicate issues, overall condition is poor to fine 

1865/1905, The numeral cancellations, extensive collection in 5 volumes with hundreds of stamps and over 300 letters and cards, starting with Cape-triangles with 3 letters, block of four and pairs, afterwards much Boer War, censor marks, registered mail, letter from the sunken steamer 'Mexicana', Bechuanaland, Mashonaland,, etc. A very interesting object

1890/1910 (ca.), stamp collection on loose stamps and few postal stationeries, main focus on numeral cancellations from no. 1 to 1601, plus some day cancellations, neatly sorted in two albums

1899/1902, nine covers from and to Cape of Good Hope, including various censorships, mail to KGF camps on St. Helena and Ceylon and field letters, plus visiting card of General N.J. Smit.

1910/2000 (ca.), South Africa+South West Africa,  comprehensive mainly used balance in 18 albums plus several hundred covers/cards, comprising collections and duplicates/accumulations, always well sorted from early issues.

1913/2001, South West Africa/South Africa, used and mint balance in six albums, well filled and sorted from early issues incl. pairs, also a nice section modern period MNH and c.t.o. 

1914/16, Anglo-French Occupation, collection of over twenty (20) used stamps and four covers, neatly mounted and mostly written up on album leaves, better items such as 1916 20sh. dark lilac/black on red paper (Mi 45), some registered covers with multiple frankings, mixed issue franking 1914 1d. with 1915 3d., 6d. and 1sh. tied by cds "LOME 17 5 17" to front of registered envelope to Switzerland, mostly very fine and attractive group, signed Calves (ex Mi.-Nr. 4/45)

1934/70, collection "TIN CAN MAIL" with 29 covers with emphasis up to 1940, including registered covers, interesting frankings and many different postmarks incl. Nebenstempel, throughout in good overall condition

1893/1985, collection of over 40 covers and a few used, neatly written up on album leaves, covering both the Indian and Zanzibar Post Offices, better items like India Mi. 43a tied by squared circle "ZANZIBAR" to envelope to Germany, handed over to French paquebot with adjacent octogonal "LA REUNION MARSEILLES L.V.N°3 4 AOUT 93" (Salles 2307), on reverse arrival cds. "BAMBERG II 25 AUG 93", also 1934 large official envelope with scarce unboxed oval mark "ZANZIBAR 21 PROTECTORATE", overall fine to very fine, unusual group

1895/1898, Overprints on India, mint and used assortment of apprx. 70 stamps, comprising e.g. a decent mint set of 13 values ex SG 3/21, a nice selection of 1895/1898 revaluation overprints incl. specialities, mainly signed Dr.Knopke.

1911/80 (ca), voluminous collection of unused and used stamps in more than thirty (30) albums, including a large number of multiples, some booklets and souvenir sheets, many complete sets in blocks of four unused such as Mi. 327-344, 1933 Mi. 355-361, 1951 Mi. 578-581, etc.; 1943 For the Child set in complete sheets, etc., also over a hundred Cyprus 1976/97 Specimen overprints; overall condition fine to very fine, an impressive holding  

1926/60, collection of over two hundred (200) stamps and one airmail cover, neatly mounted and mostly written up on album leaves, nice range of postmarks, also British Military 1948/50 overprints, condition mostly very fine (ex Mi.-Nr. 82/375)

1854/2011 (ca.), selection of 15 covers, mostly registered, with better items like Novo Scotia SG 3 and 5 (stamps creased) tied to a 1855 registered folded entire to Halifax, very rare triple-rate; Canada SG 29 (2) and 31 (2) tied to a 1863 registered envelope to Drummondville; mixed condition

1860/1980 (ca.), used and mint balance in 14 albums, comprising mainly various British colonies and some independent states, partly from classic period.

1948/1959 (ca.), British areas on the Arabian Peninsula, almost exclusively used collection in a stockbook, comprising Bahrain, Kuwait and Postal Agencies in Eastern Arabia (Oman), also incl. more than 90 covers.

Komplett belassener Literatur-Nachlass in zehn Kartons, neben den gängigen Michel-Katalogen vieles zum Thema "Britische Kolonien", u.a. umfangreich zum Sammelgebiet Indien, weiterhin Neuseeland und Südafrika, etliche Proud-Baily, Harmers-Auktionskataloge 1990er- und 2000er-Jahre, Lieferungen des Kohl-Handbuchs, etc.  Großzügig gezählt insgesamt ca. 300 Teile (Bücher, Broschüren, Kataloge), teils Kopiensätze, meist original.
