Russland: 1934, 9. Südamerikafahrt ab Friedrichshafen, R-Karte von "MOSKOU 22.9.34" mit guter Flugpost-Frankatur nach Pernambuco mit vorderseitigem Ankunftsstempel in einwandfreier Erhaltung, Fotoattest Sieger BPP (2000)

1 Pia. auf 20 Pfg. violettultramarin, mit EKr. "CONSTANTINOPEL 8 9 92" auf Briefkuvert nach Bumakovo, Rußland, für die örtliche Bestellung vorderseitig frankiert mit Bogorodsk 5 Kop. rot, sauber gestempelt. Rückseitig diverse Transitstempel. Das Kuvert unten waagerecht gefaltet und die deutsche Marke etwas gummifleckig, sonst gute Erhaltung. Eine seltene Kombination mit der Semstwo-Post.

1 Groschen karmin und 2 Groschen blau mit klarem EKr. "POWAYEN 29.5.72" auf Briefkuvert mit schwarzem Handstempel "FRANCO" nach Moskau mit Ankunftsstempel. Bei Briefen aus der Grenzprovinz Ostpreußen galt bis zum 12.7.1872 ein ermäßigtes 3 Groschen-Porto für Brief bis 15 g. Die einwandfrei gezähnten Marken und der Umschlag mit leichten Alterungsflecken, sonst in guter Gesamterhaltung. Es sind nur etwa eine Handvoll Briefe mit dem ein gutes halbes Jahr gültigen 3 Groschen-Grenzprovinzen-Porto bekannt, Fotobefund Krug BPP (1997)

2 ½ auf 2 ½ Groschen rötlichbraun in Mischfrankatur mit Ausgabe 1875 5 Pfennige je mit klarem EKr. "HAMBURG BAHNHOF 4.6.75" auf komplettem Faltbrief bis 15 g nach Reval mit Ankunftsstempel in einwandfreier Erhaltung, dekorative und seltene Währungsmischfrankatur und recht späte Aufbrauchsverwendung der Brustschild-Marke

1857/1925 (ca.), mint/unused and used collection beginning with the first issue, a well-margined example cancelled with postal date-stamp only and some better values of the 1866 and 1875 issues on vertically striped paper. Furthermore good sections each of local-, civil war- and early Soviet-issues as well as Russian Post Offices in China and the Levant. Condition mostly good to fine.

1889, Values in Rouble, specialized collection carefully mounted on album pages, with each rouble value in blocks of four unused, followed by a large selection of used arranged by shades and city postmarks or date of use; some occasional faults, mostly fine to very fine, an unusual group (Mi.-Nr. 55y-56y)

2002/19, small lot with eight scarce booklets and some sheets of self-adhesives (Mi. ca. 5400,-)

1789/1847, four folded entires from St Petersburg, various postmarks, with scarcer one-line "ST.PETERSBOVRG" to 1789 lettersheet to Riga, fine 

1850/66, Outgoing Mail, 26 folded entires mostly from St Petersburg, Mitava, Libava or Warsaw to France or Germany, wide-ranging selection of transit and entry marks, postage annotations, etc., together with two official covers to Tiflis; fine to very fine, an excellent study group 

1858/1910 (ca.), group of nine covers and cards, incl. Russian Post Offices in the Levant, with 1869 three-colour franking from Berdiansk to Austria via Odessa, a small format illustrated Red Cross envelope franked at the innercity rate, together with five cards from the Levant (one registered), etc.; mostly very fine

1865/1914, group of 22 postal stationery envelopes, cards and wrappers, incl. Zemstvo, some better usages and postmarks with boxed "KONT. ZAP. TB. MARINSKYI THEATR", "KD Feldpoststation Nr 106", etc., together with Bronnitsy Zemstvo 5 k. blue envelope; mostly fine  

1884/1913, Foreign Destinations, group of eight postal stationeries with better destinations like Guatemala, China, Egypt, South Africa, etc., mixed condition

1893/1917, fine group of 17 registered postal stationery cards and wrappers, better usages with 1907 registered card from Perm´s central Zemstvo governement library, mostly very fine condition

1883/1949, group of six unused/used postal stationery cards, incl. Mi.-Nr. P 164-165 unused (4), mostly very fine

1950/54, very interesting group of People's Republic definitive stamps, including multiples, with Soviet Union Cyrillic cancellations of "DALNY" (41), "PORT ARTHUR" (2) and "ANGTSINTSE"(2), all neatly written up on the original album pages of Michel Lipschutz. All are ex Tchinlinghirian and many formed the basis for the illustrations in parts four and six. It is unclear if these are legacy cancellations from the period of Soviet military occupation after 1945 or whether they were used in post office still under Soviet control until the final military withdrawal from the region in 1955.
