Kap der Guten Hoffnung 1855/63, Perkins Bacon 6 Pence blass lila, an einer Stelle etwas angeschnitten, sonst voll- bis breitrandig, mit klarem Dreiecksstempel auf teilfrankierter Briefhülle der 3.Gewichtsstufe von "BURGHERSDORP AP 4 1859" über Kapstadt, London und Frankreich, nach Augsburg mit Ankunftsstempel vom 4. Juni. In England zunächst "LONDON PAID" gestempelt, dann aber das "PAID" gestrichen und der Brief in Bayern als völlig unfrankiert taxiert mit 1 Gulden und 45 Kreuzern. Die Frankatur 2 kleine verklebte Randrisse, sonst für diese Strecke sehr schöne Erhaltung. Ein äußerst seltener Brief. (SG 7)
VICTORIA: 1857/60, 4 Pence rosa, gez. 12, senkrechtes Paar und Einzelwert, mit Nummernstempel "1" von Melbourne auf kleinem, teilbezahltem Briefkuvert über Frankreich, mit vorderseitigem "AUSTRALIE V. SUEZ AMB.A 6 OCT. 59" nach Brunsbütteler Hafen. Bei Ankunft taxiert mit "52" dänischen Skilling. Ein attraktiver und seltener Brief in sehr schöner Erhaltung. (SG 85)

1855/1950 (ca.) mixed unused/used collection of British Commonwealth, most prominently New Zealand with an 1856 unpaid letter from Wellington to Edinburgh, some Chalon Heads, better advertisements on the 1882 issues and, for the later victorian issues, detailed studies of perforations and watermarks. Also Antigua, British Guyana including an 1890 5c. ultramarine on registered letter to Great Britain, Jamaica, Mauritius, St. Helena, Trinidad, Samoa comprising twenty unused stamps of the "Express" issue and Tonga 1899 2 1/2d "Royal Wedding" on Tin Can-Letter with handstamp "TIN CAN MAIL NIUAFOOU ISLAND-TONGA" to Australia. An interesting collection of somewhat mixed condition in an old album.
1856/1971 (ca.), Aden to Turks and Caicos, comprehensive mint never hinged/unused and used collection carefully mounted in six albums, many cpl. sets and better items with St Helena SG-Nr. 1-2 unused, 16 unused, Swatziland 8, etc., together with a specialised part with Omnibus issues, many fine covers incl. registered with multiple frankings. A nice holding, overall in excellent general condition

1915/16, unused and used collection containing many better values, different cancellations and two registered covers, mostly good condition
1892/1979, extensive postal history collection with approximately 200 covers, cards and postal stationery, plus some single stamps, and multiples. The collection starts with some of the earliest known postal items including 'Incoming Mail', India Victoria envelope "ONE ANNA" used in Bahrain (unique), George VI 9 P. postal stationery card with overprint "HALF ANNA", high rupee frankings of the King's issues, the only recorded cover with a pair Postal Agency in Eastern Arabia Elizabeth II. 1½ a. with watermark 'Edward-Krone' (SG 58a), extremely rare "EXPERIMENTAL P.O. K-121" on cover, etc. A unique and undoubtedly most important collection of this area.
1852/2004 (ca.), large mint never hinged/unused and used collection in 8 albums with dozens of covers, incl. postage dues and over 80 postal stationeries, strength in issues up to the 1890s, starting with stampless mail with four Crowned Circle Paid covers (incl. a 1893 first day of emergency use), following with a strong selection of used classics with shades, watermark varieties and multiples, many better items like SG-Nr. 16 and 16a used, West Indian Press 86 used (x2, one certificate BPA), 87 used, 104b pair used, 184 wmk inverted unused, cpl. sets used in duplicates, some Specimen and reply cards.
