As to be expected a few forgeries and questionable overprints noted, condition varies in the early issues, overall in a good and fresh quality, many key items signed A. Brun, J-F. Brun or Calves. Postage Dues, some duplicates and multiples, starting with a 1818 entire with superb strike of the one-line “MARTINIQUE”, French General Colonial issues Mi.-Nr. 3-5 tied by dotted diamond “MQE” on lettersheet to Marseilles, Mi.-Nr. 26-38 cpl. both unused and used, together with a small but fine selection of covers with better destination Mexico, a few forgeries noted. Some occasional faults, overall in good and fresh condition, some signed J.F. Brun, neatly housed in one album

1840/1940, Introduction of the Uniform Penny Post, collection on exhibition pages beginning with a small handwritten note dated “2 July 1852” and signed “your obedient servant, William Mulready”, then an unused example each of the 1d black and 2d blue lettersheets and envelopes, lettersheet 1d black cancelled by black maltese cross and “LYNN /JY 12/1841" double-arc cds in black, correctly used to Falkenham and an unused Mulready caricature. There follows a page on the stamp issues with a used example each of the 1d black and 2d blue, 1d black on folded letter and 2d blue on slightly blued paper, cancelled by crisp black maltese cross and used on folded letter “with day list” within London. Also extensive documentation of commemoration in 1890 and 1940. Slightly mixed condition.

1871/1940 (ca.), extensive holding with used collection, specialised according to types, perforations and watermarks, made up as exhibition collection, and some additional (also later) material, containing First issue with 68 stamps/pieces and five entires, Second issue with about 190 stamps and 35 entires, followed by specialised sections of the next issues with also many multiples and covers/cards, 1874 issue with several pseudo double prints (6 opinion Visnyovszki).
