JACQUARD: Entire letter franked with Siège 20 c., tied by star cancel with adjacent "PARIS (60) 24 NOV. 70" to Lanmeur with transit mark of Morlaix and arrival mark of December 24. The 'Jacquard' came into a heavy storm and was taken to Scilly Isles at the south shore of England and most mail bags ended in the Atlantic Sea. A very fine letter of this crash flight, certificate Calves (1996)

Vermutlich wurde der Brief vom Absender schon vorfrankiert bei der Post aufgegeben mit 6 Kreuzern Franko in der 2. Gewichtsstufe sowie 9 Kreuzer Expressgebühr; die Chargé-Gebühr wurde bar bezahlt; für Expressbriefe innerhalb Bayerns war allerdings bis 1872 eine Verwendung von Freimarken für die Expressgebühr nicht vorgesehen, weshalb der Postbeamte in Kempten die 9 Kreuzer-Marke unentwertet ließ, erst bei der Bahnpost wurde sie dann nachträglich entwertet; ein seltener und interessanter Brief, Fotoattest Brettl BPP
