Das Sollporto betrug 24 Cents, abzüglich der verklebten 9 Kreuzer (= 6 Cents) = 18 Cents Goldwährung, aufgrund der Inflation in den USA wurden diese umgerechnet und vom Empfänger laut vorderseitigem Taxstempel "20 (Cents) notes" eingezogen.
