 9 Kreuzer gelbgrün im waagerechten Paar, voll- bis meist sehr breitrandig und farbfrisch, winziger Vortennschnitt, mit gMR "28" und nebengesetztem Halbkreisstempel "BERGZABERN 6/1" (1853) auf vollständigem Faltbrief mit Leitvermerk "Via Havre Liverpool" nach Mississippi, befördert mit französischem Handelsschiff (handschriftlicher Vermerk "Comerce Francois"). Trotz des abgeschlagenen Stempels "P.D." war der Brief nur bis zum Anlandehafen bezahlt, das amerikanische Inlandsporto von 7 Cents wurde vom Empfänger eingezogen. Ein postgeschichtlich hoch interessanter und bedeutender Brief, es sind nur drei gleichartige Brief bekannt, Fotoattest Schmitt BPP Provenienz: Titelfoto Dr. Helbig, "Bayerische Postgeschichte 1806-1870", abgebildet bei Dr. Zangerle
