Buenos Aires: 1858, CUATO Ps vermilion, diagonal bisect, upper left half with good to wide margins, showing part of sheet margin with patterned frame line, used uncancelled on folded letter from Dolores 5.11.1858 to Buenos Aires; some skilfully lightened stains and minor cosmetic reinforcement around edges. This is the only recorded example of the 4 peso bisect on cover; one of the most important barquitos covers, ex Jewell, Neuberger and Hubbard, certificate Kneitschel (1966) (Scott-no. 4a)
