1791, entire letter with weak straight line "C. MARTYR" via London with red "PAID" marking and manuscript "Post paid british 1/10" to Dresden in Saxony
1850/54: 15 centesimi orange red 'rosso vermiglio', machine paper, used in combination with Postal fiscal 15 c. grey-black & pale green on 1856 entire letter to Mantova tied by 'Venezia 14/10' datestamps in black. The 15 c. with just clear two ample margins all round and the fiscal with some typical ageing, reverse with Matova arrival (12/10) in black. 1859 (March): Newspaper 1.05 s. grey lilac, a magnificent used block of four with large margins all round, cancelled by centrally strick 'VERONA 5/3' datestamp in black. Some wrikles as are to be expected and of no significance, of excellent appearance and in superb quality for such a rare multiple. Signed A. Diena (1953) and Sorani (2004) (Sassone = € 40.000,-)
1852: 5 centesemi black on green with stop after '5', a fine used horizontal pair with ample to large margins all round, left hand stamp showing variety 'space between 'N' and 'T' in 'CENT'; cancelled by manuscript pen stroke and by barred obliterator leaving the variety clear. 1852: 4 bajocchi, a fine diagonally bisected example used on reverse of 1859 entitre letter from Bologna to Cento tied by eight barred grill handstamp in black. Observe with 'Bologna' despatch cds (July 8) in black and annotated '2' baj. on front in manuscript. A rare usage during the Provisional Government period of Romagna. Signed E. Diena, Raybaudi. Cert. RIGA-LIDPASTS 28.5.33" to "Africa-flight"-card to Brussels, addressed to the famous stamp dealer Serebrakian, the plane chrashed on the 29.th of May 1933, the mail was salvaged and transported to Berlin and than flown to its final destination, slightly stained, otherwise fine, a very rare and interesting card
