Ziffernzeichnung 30 Groschen grauultramarin, drei senkrechte 3er-Streifen und Einzelmarke mi Kleiner Schild 5 Groschen ockerbraun sowie Großer Schild 1 Groschen karmin und 2 Groschen grauultramarin mit EKr. "BERLIN P.E. 10 4/3 73" bzw. handschriftlicher Entwertung rückseitig auf Paketbegleitung für ein 44 Pfund schweres Wertpaket mit Wertangabe 150 Thaler via Bremen nach San Jose, Costa Rica. Die 2 Groschen-Marke hat den Plattenfehler 'Linke Wertziffer 2 gebrochen und Punkt unter C von Reichs-". Bis auf eine Bugspur durch einen 3er-Streifen sind alle Marken üblich gezähnt und in einwandfreier Erhaltung. Die mit 308 Groschen frankierte Paketbegleitung ist nur teilfrankiert, da die absendende Postanstalt nicht wissen konnte, ob das zur Beförderung bestimmte Schiff Costa Rica vom Karibischen Meer (mit ermäßigtem Tarif) oder vom Pazifischen Ozean anlanden würde. Der mit Blaustift vermerkte zu wenig frankierte Betrag von 241 Groschen wurde beim Empfänger mittels Francodefekt nach erhoben. Außer in die USA sind nur ganz wenige Fahrpostsendungen mit Brustschildfrankatur nach Übersee bekannt. Destinations-Seltenheit, sign. Sommer BPP

Exemplare, dabei 48er-Block, 8er-, 6er- und 3er-Streifen rückseitig auf Wert-Paketbegleitbrief mit vorderseitig Großer Schild ½ Groschen orange, von Bisperode mit Braunschweig Aufgabestempel "BISPERODE 26 FEB 1873" und Paketzettel mit handschriftlicher Ortsangabe via Stadtoldendorf und Bremen nach Chicago.Die vollständige Frankatur erst im Transit entwertet mit sehr klarem Braunschweig-DKr. "STADTOLDENDORF 27 FEB 1873".  Das Porto für den 10 Pfund 460 Gramm schweren Geldbeutel mit der Wertangabe 272 Thaler ist für diesen Transitweg mit 360½ Groschen korrekt frankiert. Das Porto setzt sich aus dem deutschen Anteil von 6 Groschen und der Versicherungsgebühr von 4½ Groschen, sowie dem Porto ab Bremen von 170 Groschen und 180 Groschen Versicherungsgebühr zusammen. Der 48er-Block stellt nicht nur die größte bekannte Einheit der 5 Groschen-Marke, sondern die größte bekannte Einheit aller Brustschildmarken dar. Der vorliegende Paketbegleitbrief mit der Massenfrankatur der 5 Groschen-Marke, bei der einige Randfehler zu tolerieren sind, ist das absolute Schaustück der Brustschilde Philatelie! Er schmückte nicht nur die Sammlung Kruse/Bremen, sondern war auch auf der Raritätenschau anläßlich der Monacophil 2000 im Monegassischen Postmuseum ausgestellt.
