(valid in Puerto Rico unti July 1873) where added as postage due; transit and arrival marks on front and reverse. The franking with small faults, the cover with small edge tears. 6 Kr. blau, diagonal halbiert, voll- bis breitrandig geschnitten mit zwei teils angeschnittenen Einzelwerten 3 Kr. rosa, jeweils mit oMR "289" und nebengesetztem L2 "LINDAU./6 SEP, 1866" auf Briefumschlag nach Yverdon im schweizer Kanton Vaud mit rückseitigen Transit- und Ankunftsstempeln; diese seltene und eigentlich paradoxe Frankatur entstand wohl dadurch, daß der Absender den Brief bereits frankiert am Postamt auflieferte, dieser jedoch nachfrankiert werden musste, da der Empfangsort im 2. schweizer Rayon lag (daher Porto 3 Kr. für Bayern und 6 Kr. Weiterfranko für die Schweiz); aus Mangel an 3 Kr.-Marken benutzte der Postbeamte eine halbierte 6 Kr., eine in Bayern bei Markenmangel gängige Notmaßnahme. Es handelt sich hierbei nicht nur um die einzig bekannte Farbfrankatur einer Halbierung, sondern auch um die einzig bekannte Halbierung auf Auslandsbrief; sign. Krüger sowie Georg Bühler mit Fotoattest (1970), Hans Grobe mit Fotoattest (1974), Fotoattest Bloch mit Zusatz, daß auch John Boker den Brief für echt hält, sowie Fotoattest Brettl BPP
