1859, 'Dardenne' 2 pence slate-blue in vertical pair, the lower stamp with so-called 'feather variety', used with clear "PAID" in circle to mourning envelope with reverse side crowned "MAURITIUS GPO JA 7 1860" to Bordeaux. 1859, Coat of arms 1r. blue, fine printing, fresh colour and mostly good to large margins, each with central "0" in black on folded letter to Genoa, paying the single weight not exceeding ½ ounce as stipulated for carriage between Venezuela and St. Thomas, accountancy marking "G.B. 1F60C" alongside, upon arrival charged "20" decimes, a beatiful and a very rare cover with only few of these frankings recorded on transatlantic covers, certificate Moorhouse (2017)
