Quadratausgabe 9 Kreuzer bläulichgrün, Type I, allseits breitrandig mit gMR "159" auf kleinem Briefkuvert von "KISSINGEN 15/6" (1851) mit Leitvermerk "Par Trieste" nach Athen mit Transit- und Ankunftsstempeln. Das vollständige Porto in Höhe von 28 Kreuzern wurde vom Absender vorausbezahlt, jedoch nur die Postvereinsgebühr geklebt, das Weiterfranko von insgesamt 19 Kreuzern rückseitig notiert, davon 11 Kreuzer Seeporto sowie 8 Kreuzer griechisches Porto. Griechenland ist ohnehin eine für Altdeutschland sehr seltene Destination, mit geteiltem Franko ist nur ein weiterer Brief bekannt; Fotoattest Brettl BPP

"MAINZ 5/4 1846", kleiner EKr. mit Uhrzeit auf komplettem Faltbrief nach Samarang auf Java, befördert über Frankreich, Malta und Alexandrien, sodann mit der 'Overland Mail' über Aden und Bombay mit rückseitigem EKr. "BOMBAY/B.P.P BEARING" mit handschriftlichem "8a" sowie vorderseitigem "BOMBAY MY ...1846/STR. POSTAGE 8/INL.DO 2", jedoch gestrichen und rückseitig erneut abgeschlagen, jedoch mit Taxen 8 a. bzw. 3 a. 9 p.; der Brief weiterbefördert über Singapur nach Batavia, hier wurde am 13.6. ein Taxzettel angebracht und eine Gesamtsumme von 216 Koper notiert; die Beförderung nach Samarang wurde privat vorgenommen (rückseitiger Firmenstempel H. Boesman). Laut Fotoattest Van der Linden einer von nur 2 bekannten Briefen der Vorphilazeit nach Ostindien

1852, Entire letter docketed on front "Basse pointe 25 Juillet 1852", franked with Ceres 10 centimes bistre and 25 centimes blue, mailed from "ST. PIERRE (MARTINIQUE...)" and addressed to France, endorsed "Voie de Commerce". The stamps according to regulation cancelled at arrival with losange "PC2" of the railway Calais-Paris with adjacent date stamp of August 18, 1852. Although the letter was correctly franked for transportation with French commercial ship, the letter was taxed and boxed "Affranchisement insuffisante" applied. The stamps with minimal creasing at top. A very fine and most attractive letter of great rarity. Signed Calves and Scheller with his certificate (2018) This letter originates from the experimental period between October 1851 and December 1853 in which the French government supplied four of it's colonies with French stamps. There were just 2 rates existing: 35 centimes for transportation by French commercial ships and 1,50 francs for transportation by English ships. For this reason only stamps of denomination 10 centimes, 25 centimes and 1 franc were delivered to these colonies.

One letter optimistically addressed to Prince Alexander Alexandrovich Dolgorukov at the Imperial Yacht Club
