Quadratausgabe 1 Kreuzer rosa, 6 Kreuzer braun und 9 Kreuzer gelbgrün mit oMR "86" auf Briefkuvert von "EBERN 13 10" (1860) über Aachen und Ostende nach Manchester. Der Brief war um 2 Kreuzer unterfrankiert; nach dem ab 1.7.1859 gültigen Postvertrag Preußen-England waren nunmehr nur teilweise frankierte Briefe nicht wie bisher als ganz unfrankiert zu behandeln, sondern es wurde lediglich der an der tarifmäßigen Taxe fehlende Betrag vom Empfänger nacherhoben. Entsprechend dieser Verordnung erhielt der Brief den Vermerk "franko Ostende", da 8 Kreuzer für Bayern und 4 Kreuzer für den Belgientransit ja frankiert waren; für die britische Strecke wurde der Brief in England als unfrankiert behandelt und mit "3" Pence Nachporto belegt; die über den belgischen Transit hinaus frankierten 4 Kreuzer waren an Preußen zu erstatten. Ein attraktiver und postgeschichtlich hochinteressanter Auslandsbrief mit schöner Dreifarben-Frankatur
