1856/57, Oskar 2 skilling orange-yellow and 8 skilling carmine in horizontal pair, used with numeral "25" on cover from Bergen (Sep 3, 1857) with full contents to Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The letter is fully paid; the original endorsement "franco Hamburg" was changed in "franco". The franking slightly afixed over the top edge of the cover, but except of 2 shortish perfs of the right 8 skilling in fine condition. The earliest of just 4 recorded entires with the 18 skilling rate to Mecklenburg. Certificate Enger BPP (2018)

25k. on 3k. imperforated, block of nine, nicely used with several clear strikes of "SMILTEN" cds., the largest known multiple to our knowledge, very fine, certificate v. Hofmann BPP (1998)

30 c. lilac in block of 4, nice fresh colour, unused with original gum, the lower pair unmounted mint; the left top stamp small hinge thin, otherwise fine/very fine; an attractive and rare block, only 2 recorded, certificate Böttger BPP (2016)

November 1917 Ordinary card from Stavropol franked at the Inland rate of 5 kop instead of the 8 kop foreign rate, Petrograd censors, Postage Due raised and 10 c Swiss Due stamp applied in LAUSANNE 22 1 18; Also a Registered card from PETRGOGRAD 11 1 18 correctly franked at 28 kop, Petrograd and French censor marks, addressed to Ida Ungern-Sternberg in Bern, adhesion damage on reverse  

Africa Flight: 1931, airmail 10 s. green and 25 s. blue with  "LIEPAJA 19.5.33" cds. two weeks before the start of the special flight, also has "RIGA-LIDPASTS 28.5.33" cds., sent to Kaunas but was undeliverable, very rare cover, slightly mottled but otherwise without faults

March 1918 Ordinary letter from TIENTSIN RUSSKAYAR POCHTA 16 3 18, franked 10 Cents Post Offices in China stamp, Petrograd censors, front and back, Postage Due indicated with cachet and manuscript. An interesting and scarce late example of a Chinese post office still operating under Soviet control. Quite soon, mail would no longer be routed to Petrograd
