1856, unfrankierter Brief von "DÜRKHEIM 26/2" nach New York, ohne besonderen Leitvermerk; derartige Briefe waren vertragsgemäß mit den wöchentlich abgehenden geschlossenen preußisch-amerikanischen Briefpaketen zu versenden, der hier vorliegende Brief wurde jedoch zunächst behandelt wie für den Leitweg über Bremen vorgesehen mit der Bahnpost über Hof nach Sachsen gesandt (rückseitiger Bahnpost-L3 "LEIPZIG/BERLIN"), von dort aus jedoch nicht weiter nach Bremen befördert sondern vorschriftsmäßig dem preußisch-amerikanischen Paketfluß zugeführt. Die Taxe betrug 45 Kreuzer (= 13 Silbergroschen), davon 2 Silbergroschen für Bayern und 11 Silbergroschen Weiterfranko, interessanter Brief
