"AMBULANT SUEZ" and boxed "SUEZ SERVIZIO ITALIANO 4 GEN 90" on reverse of cover franked with 1884 1 pi.a blue from Cairo to Massaua, roughly opened at top ans some small stain spots, very scarce markings

"SAVED FROM THE WRECK OF S.S. "CAIRO"" two-line violet cachet in english and french on formerly franked cover from Hamburg to Alexandria, reverse with Interpostal seal of Alexandria to reseal the envelope, fine and scarce, signed Todd

1924, "HELIOPOLIS LE CAIRE / COMMITTEE DES FETES", blue label on large size registered envelope from "KHARTOUM 25.II.924" franked with cpl. set Sudan 1921, 1 m.-10 m. and additional franking to Switzerland, faults but scarce

"DAMAGED BY SEA WATER" boxed violet cachet on cover franked with 1933, airmail 8 and 20 m. from Cairo to London, reverse with official Seal "Found open or damaged and officially secured"

FRENCH POST OFFICES: 1871/75, Ceres 30 c. bistre brown vertical pair used on entire letter from Cairo to Switzerland, tied by  ´5119´gros chiffres and framed "Paquebots de la Mediterrannee" in red. "Le Caire" cds at left in black  (Jan 11) and reverse with Marseille, Geneva, Zurich and Burgdorf cds´s (Jan 20). File folds away from adhesives, a fine and scarce entire.  

RUSSIAN POST: 2 pia. blue and rose with horizontal background,  fine four margined horizontal pair on slightly faulty entire letter from Smyrna to Alexandria, the adhesives tied by rare dotted "783" numeral obliterator in blue. Reverse with good large part strike of rare "PORT ALEKSANDRIYA" datestamp of receipt in blue (Smith Type D1). It is not possible to state with certainty that this pair originated on this letter sheet as ther stamps are not tied and are thinned; with accordant certificate Todd AIEP

 "JEREMIE", bowed straight-line, clear on on entire letter to Port-au-Prince, very fine and rare

"LACQUEMEL", in brown, good strike on entire letter to Port-au-Prince, very scarce

1792, entire letter from Port-au-Prince to France, showing on front clear bowed "COLONIES PAR NANTES", very fine

5 ch. (2) with 1 kr., 3 kr. and pair 2 t. tied to Barnameh from Teheran to Hamadan, 3 kr. crease, otherwise fine

10 ch. perf. 10½ tied by brownish/black "RESCHT 16/3" to cover to Tabriz, slight staining not affecting the stamp

1878, lion 1 t. violet-bronze on blue, nice fresh colour and large even margins, tied by central strike of Teheran cds., tiny tear at top, just touching the outer frame line, still fine copy of this rare stamp

1891, 1 ch. black and 2 ch. brown in horizontal pair tied to reverse of small cover from Boushir to Shiraz, fine
