"NEW YORK TRANSIT OCT 2", by Cunard packet "Java" from New York to Queenstown, upon arrival charged "51" thus postage due 10c., 1l. as vertical pair of 2l. applied and tie by cds., postage due adhesives with faults, nevertheless quite attractive and rare as only a few letters were sent to Italy by American ships

No.1 21 7 74" auf privat gedruckter gelber Post-Packetadresse via Bremen nach Fort Whipper bei Washington. Die Marken sind wie die Paketkarte in guter Erhaltung. Das Porto für das 117 Gramm schwere Paket errechnet sich aus dem deutschen Porto von 5 Groschen bis Bremen und 45 Groschen Weiterfranko. Eine seltene Frankaturkombination der Innendienstmarken.

SHIP APR 27" where applied, over land to New York, upon arrival in Genoa charged "115" thus postage due 5-10c. and 1l. applied (at edge of cover) and tie by cds., a very attractive and rare cover as letters carried by American ships are already scarce, this letter has been carried via Mazatlan to San Francisco and then by land to New York, where most of the mail went via Veracruz and New Orleans
