Plate IV, vertically laid paper, 2 d. ultramarine, worn state, position 21 and 23, both with large margins, tied by crisp strikes of ”48“ numeral to double rate entire letter from ""TARCUTTA MY 2 1851" to Sydney, very fine.

Soft wove paper, 3 d. myrtle green, nice typical fresh shade, large even margins, tied to entire letter with adjacent red "PAID SHIP LETTER SYDNEY AP 19 1852" and endorsed "per Johnstone“ ,to London. Very fine. An exceptional and very rare entire. Certificate BPA(1999)

Bluish wove paper, 3 d. emerald-green with clear impression, large margins, tied by numeral obliterator "55" to letter sheet with adjacent extremely rare 'NEWCASTLE / N.S.W. / P.OFFICE' negative intaglio seal handstamp, to Sydney with arrival mark of  3.1.1852. Very fine and rare entire. Certificate BPA (2001)

Bluish wove paper, 3 d. emerald green , in combination with 1851, laureate 2 d. ultramarine, both with good to large margins, tied by "36" in bars of Braidwood, to envelope via Sydney to England with "Sydney ship Ietter" and "Plymouth ship Ietter" on reverse. The franking paying the 5 d. rate (2 d. to Sydney + 3 d. ship ietter rate). A rare mixed issues-cover. Certificate RPSL (1948) and Holcombe (1988)

1851/52, Laureate 1 d. vermilion on bluish paper, horizontal pair with clear to mostly large margins, tied by numeral "55" to envelope from "RAYMOND TERRACE OC 12 1853" to Sydney.

1854, 2 d. ultramarine, wm "2", Pl. III, horizontal strip of five, left stamp with variety 'WALES partly covered by wavy lines', full to large margins, used, very fine (natural paper wrinkle in central stamp)

INDIA USED IN BURMA: 1899, 1 a. purple, fresh colours, tied by cds. "RANGOON 28 JA 99" to postcard to Belgium, various transit handstamps, taxed upon arrival with postage dues tied by cds. "CHARLEROI (STATION) FEV 1899", very fine

"NEGYA": on front of envelope to USA bearing 3 a. ultramarine, tied by "NEGYA 22 OCT 29", small faults, still fine and most unusual usage from this very small Burmese village

"MAGWE": on underfranked envelope to England, bearing 1 a. brown-purple tied by square circle "MAGWE 2 MA. 90", adjacent "T", taxed manuscript "42 cts" and therefore accountancy mark "I.B. 8½ d", reverse transit cds. "RANGOON X MA. 25 90" and "BOMBAY F APR 4 90", fine, a scarce and attractive usage form Burma

Used in Burma: 1874, oval "BURMAN RANGOON" on envelope to Gènes, Italy, with India 1 a., 4 a., and 8 a. tied by Barred Obliterator and "RANGOON NOV. 8", adjacent "PD", reverse transit and arrival cds. "GENOVA 25 DIC 74"; cover slightly shortened at left, fine and scarce

INDIA USED IN BURMA: 1856 Queen Victoria 2 a. dull pink and 4 a. grey black, tied by octogonal "156" RANGOON to envelope to England, adjacent framed red "INDIA PAID", reverse red "RANGOON SHIP LETTER PAID", transit cds. "G.P.O EX. CALCUTTA 1860" and arrival "WEEDON"; 2 a. small fault, fine and attractive usage

1846 Entire letter from Berlin, Ontario, to Homburg, Bavaria, via Montreal, New York, Le Havre and Paris, bearing red Montreal cds. and "MONTREAL PAID AP 3 1846 /CANADA", red Le Havre transit dater and charge marks for "4½" Canadian inland, "10" (Cts.) US inland rate to New York and "1f27" (Guilder) in total for transatlantic ship fee to France and French transit (1f20), Bavarian postage "4" (kreuzer) and rural delivery "3", Paris transit dater and red Homburg  arrival datestamp on reverse. A rare transatlantic letter.

Egyptian": steamer endorsement on front of folded entire letter from Colombo to London, dated inside "Colombo 25 Jan. 1840", charged 8d. on front with adjacent entry mark "INDIA LETTER DEAL", reverse arrival red cds. "6 JU 6 1840", fine. An interesting and scarce maritime mail sent during the Second Turko-Egyptian War

"KARUNDUGALLE": clear strike with added "1852 13 Augt Paid", on reverse of folded entire letter to London, endorsed on the inside flap "Imboolpittia", reverse transit and arrival cds. "1852 18 SP", fine, scarce mail from a village in Ceylon

"REUNION 4 JUIL. 66" and arrival "MAURITIUS JY 7 66"; very fine, a delightful and scarce maritime entire
