"MIL:BRIEF. ST. LUXEM=BURG" in black on lettersheet dated "LUXEMBURG, 1 SEPTEMBER 1841" via "TRIER 7/9", addressed to "Friedrich Krupp Gußstahl Fabrik bei Essen a.d. Ruhr Reg.Bezirk Düsseldorf", by mistake sent to Düsseldorf and here re-posted (dispatch mark crossed out); some creasing and partly weak in the folds, still fine and scarce

SEPT. 6..", addressed to Frau von Rabe, Lesnian by Czerwinsk, which is recorded on several covers from the fortress, on reverse railroad mark "TRIER / 14 9 II / BINGERBRÜCK" and receiving mark. This is the only recorded example of a Prussian stationery envelope transported with Luxemburg state post. A key piece of the postal history of the fortress
